Deposit and Billing Policy
After your consultation, and upon scheduling your tattoo, I will request a non-refundable deposit. This deposit confirms your appointment time and counts as payment towards the final cost of the tattoo. This also allows compensation towards the time and labor of designing your tattoo, and for time lost in the event of a cancellation.
For a single session tattoo, the deposit is applied at the time of payment. For multisession tattoos, it is applied at the time of payment of the last session when the tattoo has been completed.
For most tattoos I require a consultation. The purpose of the consultation is to first and foremost, meet you, the client, and to build a rapport. It’s also to clarify ideas, answer questions, and to ensure that an understanding is reached between you, the client, and me, your artist in regards to creating your tattoo design. Consultations are free, and you are not required to schedule a tattoo if you wish to request a consultation. During a consultation, if you do wish to schedule a tattoo appointment, it is my goal to make sure that I have a firm grasp on what each client is looking for in their tattoo. I don’t make a practice of scheduling an appointment until an understanding has been reached. No deposits will be requested until an appointment time has been agreed upon.
-Appointments are not confirmed until deposits have been received.
-Deposits must be paid within 72 hours of receipt of the invoice.
-I do not take deposits if an appointment is not scheduled. If you wish to put money towards a tattoo but do not yet wish to schedule, I do offer gift certificates.
-I no longer hold deposits indefinitely. If you cancel and do not reschedule within 30 days, I will require a new deposit.
-Deposits are not refundable.
In order to avoid forfeiting the deposit and to allow time to find someone to fill the time slot, I ask that 48 hours is given as notice of cancellation or rescheduling. In the event of the following, deposits may be forfeited, and a new deposit must be paid in order to schedule:
-No call, no shows
-Rescheduling or cancelling without a 48 hour notice
-Rescheduling three or more times for any session of the same tattoo, regardless of notice.
-Failing to reschedule a cancelled appointment within 30 days.
Please note, I do understand that life happens, and in extreme cases, exceptions can be made at my discretion. Please be sure to communicate your needs.
If you have reached the point where you are paying a deposit, then the following should be understood: You have viewed my work, and agree that I am capable of creating a design to your liking. You have communicated your tattoo design with me to your satisfaction. You understand that art is subjective, and that there may be variations between your concept and the completed design. With this in mind, know that time will be given at the beginning of your tattoo session to review your design, and if it is not to your liking, changes can be made. It is my goal to ensure you are thoroughly satisfied with the final product, however, it should be understood that if major changes are to be made, or if an entirely new drawing is required, it may be necessary for your appointment to be rescheduled, an additional deposit to be paid, and the original deposit would be considered as a fee for my drawing time.
No drawings or drafts are emailed or otherwise shared before to the scheduled tattoo appointment.
Billing and Hourly rate.
Tattoo Deposit - $150 in most cases. May be less for smaller tattoos.
Tattoo minimum - $100
For smaller tattoos, (roughly hand sized or smaller) I will give an upfront estimate. (Up to $500)
For larger tattoos/ multiple sessions, I charge my hourly rate - $170.
Billing begins at the start of the scheduled appointment time.
I do not offer refunds for completed tattoos under any circumstances.
Touch ups
I offer free touch ups, but I must be notified within 6 months of receiving the tattoo.
If a touch up is needed after 6 months, I will charge my hourly rate.
While not required, if it’s possible, I encourage touch-ups to be done at the same time as a paid tattoo session, as this saves time, as well as reduces waste.
