FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • I do tattoos by appointment only. I generally stay booked several weeks out, but smaller tattoos can sometimes be fit in sooner. I do occasionally participate in a flash events with the shop, and they are promoted on my social media pages.

If you’d like to schedule, I can be easily reached by email, but I strongly recommend filling out my convenient form. It has all the relevant questions I need to start the scheduling process, and it helps speed things along. It goes directly to my email for review.  Once I receive it I’ll reach out to you to get you booked.

  • Not a problem. Feel free to send an email. I’m always happy to answer questions.

  • Yes. Consultations are free and recommended. After a tattoo request is made, I will typically reach out to you to schedule, and will most likely happen over zoom. If you prefer in person, no problem! I’m happy to meet you in the studio too.

  • Tattoo pricing varies depending on content, size, and location. Our shop minimum starts at $100 and goes up from there. For smaller tattoos that can be completed in a single session, I can give a rough estimate during the consultation. For larger, multisession tattoos I have day rate pricing starting at $600.

  • My deposit is typically around $100, and is non refundable (exceptions can be made at my discretions and only for extreme circumstances.) If you need to reschedule, it is transferable, as long as I’m given 48 hours notice. Last minute reschedules will require a new deposit. I also have a 3 strikes rule to prevent chronic last minute reschedules. If you do not give me reasonable notice and frequently reschedule, I will no longer schedule with you.

  • If you filled out a form, please allow a few days for me to review it and respond. If you haven’t heard back, please check your spam. If it’s not there, feel free to message me again. Sometimes I miss things, or get busy.

  • Be sure to wear comfortable clothing on the day of your appointment, and be sure the clothing doesn’t restrict access to the area of the body getting the tattoo. Please be aware that tattoo ink and blood may stain clothing, so don’t wear anything you would like to avoid getting dirty. If you tend to get cold, bringing an extra layer may be helpful.

The better health you are in, the better tolerance you will have for discomfort. It’s recommended to not drink any alcohol 24 hours prior to your tattoo, and avoid any blood thinning medications (Please discuss with your doctor prior to discontinuing any prescribed medications). The day leading up to your appointment, make sure that you have eaten well, are well hydrated, and be sure to get good rest.

If you want to take extra steps to make the tattooing process and subsequent healing easier, you can moisturize the area to be tattooed daily for a few days prior to your appointment. You may also choose to pre-shave the area to save time and disposable waste.

  • We ask that you limit your visitors to only 1 extra person with you in the studio at a time. Contact me directly to see if I can accommodate for special circumstances. We do not allowed unsupervised children in the studio.

  • If you are a new client, please bring a government-issued photo ID (license, state ID, passport, etc.) with you to your first appointment.

Some choose to bring something to entertain them, such as a book or a tablet. If you choose to listen to music, please bring ear phones so as not to disturb other guests. If you will be at the studio for a longer session, please bring something to drink and a snack.

  • Currently, we do not offer piercing services.

  • I do! If you have a tattoo you’d like to discuss covering up or bringing back to life, I’m happy help you.

  • We take the health of ourselves and our clients seriously, and want to do our best to minimize spreading illness to others. If you are feeling ill or have a fever, please contact me to reschedule. If you are recovering from an illness, but are still concerned about spread, please wear a mask.

  • We have 2 parking areas in the front and back of the building. The closest entrance to my studio is in the front.

  • Pain threshold varies by person, but getting a tattoo typically does hurt. Most find that the pain is manageable but some areas are more sensitive than others. That said I do not recommend any numbing creams to be applied to the skin prior to an appointment. If you have concerns about tattoo discomfort, please reach out to me to discuss.

  • Dry, chaffed, sunburned, irritated, and/or broken out skin will not tattoo well and will ultimately hinder the quality of your tattoo once healed. If you are suffering from any type of skin issue, please let me know during your consultation. If there is an issue, I may recommend waiting until the issue is resolved, or suggest a different tattoo placement.

  • I do! I try my best to stay up to date on companies and their ingredients to offer the safest and highest quality products to my clients.

  • The health board prohibits the use of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco during tattoo session.
